Before joining Verity, Curt served as CEO of South Coast Construction, Inc. for eight years, overseeing projects totaling over a billion dollars in value. In 2005, he founded his own construction firm, further solidifying his reputation as a leader in the industry.
Prior to his executive roles, Curt honed his skills as a tradesman in framing, concrete, cabinetry, and electrical work. Holding multiple contractor licenses, including General Engineering and Contracting, his hands-on experience sets him apart in project management and execution.
A graduate of the University of California, Irvine, Curt’s blend of academic knowledge and practical expertise ensures the successful completion of every project undertaken by the Verity team.
Shaun’s introduction into the construction industry began in his teenage years, sparking a lifelong dedication to every facet of the industry. From building residential homes to orchestrating the construction of bridges, hotels, and large scale commercial buildings, Shaun’s experience spans the breadth of construction endeavors.
With a Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management from BYU Idaho, alongside an Associate’s degree in Architecture, Shaun’s academics complements his hands-on experience seamlessly. Notably, he financed his education by spearheading his own construction projects while diligently pursuing his studies.
With a solid foundation laid through his education and early career endeavors, Shaun embarked on a new chapter in 2020, founding his own development company. Prior to this milestone, he honed his skills and expertise through significant tenures with some of the nation’s largest construction firms and prominent development entities in Utah.
Throughout his illustrious career, Shaun has amassed over $800 million in project experience, showcasing unparalleled proficiency in both vertical construction and land development. What sets him apart is not only his impressive track record of bringing projects to fruition under budget but also his unwavering commitment to delivering on time, if not ahead of schedule.
His success is a testament to his meticulous attention to detail, comprehensive understanding of the project lifecycle, and the ability to forge cohesive and high-performing teams. Shaun’s unwavering dedication to excellence continues to drive him forward as he leads his company towards new heights of innovation and achievement in the construction industry.
Evan Nelson brings a wealth of experience in finance, administration, and public service to Verity’s team. With a background spanning roles such as Finance Director for North Ogden City, Administrative Services Director for West Point City, and City Clerk/Finance Director for the City of St. Johns, Arizona, Evan has demonstrated his expertise in budgeting, accounting, and strategic planning.
His extensive experience also includes positions such as Accountant at Davis & Bott CPAs, where he handles retirement plan administration and reporting alongside general accounting and tax reporting duties. Evan’s commitment to community development is evident in his involvement in initiatives such as downtown revitalization projects and economic development strategies.
Evan holds a Master of Public Administration with a Local Government Emphasis from Brigham Young University, where he also served as an Accounting Professor’s Assistant.
